Choosing the right account type

Make sure you choose the "Internet" account type.

Set the Options to APOP

Regardless of how you send email, you should turn the "Connect Using APOP" option on.

Switch to the Account Info tab and set it up according to the configuration you want...

Standard Configuration: incoming mail via mail.autsys.com, outgoing via your local provider


Filling out your email program's setup form like this should allow you to recieve mail from your own domain, send through your dialup service provider (required for Earthlink accounts) but allow readers of your email to see your correct email address.

If for some reason you want to send your email through our mail server, you can configure it as shown below. Note however, that if you do this, you will have to contact Autograph Systems to arrange for relay permission from your location.

Forwarding Configuration: incoming and outgoing mail via your local provider, email sent to your domain is forwarded to your local provider mailbox

If you are already using the email address provided by your local provider and do not want to set up and manage two (or more) email accounts, you do not need to modify your email program's setup at all. Just visit the email server editor and set the account forwarding option to "Forward"
